Milania Giudice is preparing to fight her assault charge with a new attorney.
The 20-year-old college student and longtime Real Housewives of New Jersey figure has hired New Jersey defense lawyer Alan Kraminsky to represent her in a domestic violence case, The U.S. Sun reported.
Milania was arrested on May 14 by Montville Township Police after officers responded to a local residence in connection with a reported dispute, according to the outlet. Authorities later charged her on a summons complaint with one count of simple assault, classified as a disorderly persons offense.
Law enforcement sources told the news outlet that the charge involved allegedly causing bodily injury, and a court spokesperson later confirmed that the case is being handled under domestic violence classifications.
Milania has since been released and is waiting for her upcoming court date.
Kraminsky, of Kraminsky Law, has represented clients in high-profile New Jersey criminal matters, including a man accused of using a hidden camera at a martial arts studio and a daycare worker accused of injuring an infant, according to reports cited by the outlet.
The legal issue comes as Bravo prepares to bring the show back for season 15 after a two-year break.
