Max B is accusing Karen Civil of causing chaos at the BET Awards and says their latest falling-out was only the newest blowup in a relationship that has stretched across two decades.
Speaking with Jason Lee, Max claimed Civil “crashed out” on him and his attorney, while also repeating his allegation that she hacked his Instagram account.
“She crashed out on me, she crashed out on my lawyer,” he said. “I knew Karen Civil 20 years ago; she crashed out on me back then.”
The rapper said he and Civil have cycled through working together and parting ways for years.
“I fired her 20 times, hired her 20 times, fired her in prison; she’s been working for me ever since,” said Max B.

He also clarified that Civil worked in a public relations role and did not manage him.
Their recent problems, Max said, came to a head around the BET Awards. He claimed Civil was supposed to help produce his performance but began “trying to take over the offense.”
“You don’t run the offense. Tom Brady runs the offense,” he said.
Max alleged Civil was then asked to leave the venue, laughing as he called the incident “epic.”
Civil gave a much different account after their partnership ended in July, saying their work was “now complete” and that her company had simply closed out backend access and relationships connected to the project.
