Margaret Josephs Refused to Reconcile With Teresa Giudice Before ‘RHONJ’ Exit

Margaret Josephs is spilling more tea about why she decided to walk away from The Real Housewives of New Jersey before cameras started rolling on the new season.

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Margaret said her exit had been in the works for months, even after she participated in test filming with potential new cast members in August.

“I left Housewives of New Jersey, which was in the works since December, truthfully,” Margaret told Jeff.

The longtime Bravo star explained that she chose not to return because she no longer wanted to film with certain people.

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them,” she said. “When people have nothing to lose, and I have a lot to lose, I don’t want to be around those people.”

Margaret said she still has close friendships with Melissa Gorga and Dolores Catania, who are returning next season, but felt the show was moving in a direction that no longer fit her.

“It was just going in a direction that’s not me,” she continued. “I’m not going to hang out with those people, and that’s it,” later confirming that one of the cast members she no longer wanted to interact with was Teresa Giudice.

“She’s not my people,” Margaret added. “I wish her no ill. I think she’s a good mother. But she’s just not my cup of tea.”

Margaret also claimed a new cast member tried to convince her to reconcile with Teresa during filming, but she refused.
