‘Love Island’ Star Yulissa Escobar Hospitalized After Alleged Miami Beach Attack

Love Island USA alum Yulissa Escobar says she is recovering after being assaulted in Miami Beach, an incident she claims left her with a concussion.

Speaking to TMZ, she said she and a friend went to LIV nightclub on Sunday night, then stopped at a nearby Taco Bell in the early hours of Monday morning. According to a Miami Beach Police Department report, Escobar was waiting for her food when a man allegedly approached her and made “inappropriate remarks,” which she said she ignored.

Police say a woman who was with the man then became upset and struck Escobar on the right side of her face. The couple reportedly fled the scene in a white Mercedes.

Escobar said she was taken to the hospital, where doctors told her she had suffered a concussion. “I’m home now resting and staying off the internet,” she said, adding that the situation has left her shaken.

The Miami Beach Police Department confirmed that an investigation is ongoing and that no arrests have been made.

Escobar speculated that the attack could be connected to the backlash she received following her brief appearance on Love Island USA.

Escobar exited the reality series early in season 7 after past videos resurfaced showing her using offensive language. She later apologized, saying she had spoken “ignorantly.”

In a separate TikTok video back in July, Escobar addressed her sudden departure from the show, saying, “I was like, f–k, no. I can’t believe people think I’m racist. I mean, I get it, I said a word that I should have not said, but man, I wish I would’ve never said that,” she said at the time. “It is what it is. I can’t go back in time. I am sorry that I said that word.”
