LIL DURK HIT WITH NEW LEGAL BOMB… ACCUSED HITMAN CLAIMS THERE WAS A “BOUNTY” ON MAN WHO KILLED HIS BROTHER

Media Take Out has learned that Lil Durk’s legal nightmare just took a sharp turn, and it’s getting uglier by the minute. New court filings reveal explosive statements from a jailhouse informant who claims an alleged hitman confessed that there was a cash bounty on the man killed in a 2022 Chicago shooting… and prosecutors say the “Individual A” behind that bounty may be the rapper himself.

This bombshell lands on top of Durk already being held without bond on a separate federal murder-for-hire charge, meaning things are starting to stack up in a very dangerous way.

THE SHOOTING THAT STARTED IT ALL

The incident at the center of this latest drama is the 2022 killing of Stephon Mack, who was gunned down outside the Youth Peace Center on Chicago’s Far South Side.

Prosecutors say two men — Preston Powell (aka Marley) and Anthony Montgomery-Wilson — were tied to the shooting. And according to them, this wasn’t street chaos, it was a targeted hit.

Why? Because Mack was rumored to have been involved in the killing of Lil Durk’s older brother D-Thang, who was shot outside a Harvey nightclub in June 2021. Chicago insiders have whispered for years that revenge was in the air… and now the feds are saying those whispers may have teeth.

JAILHOUSE INFORMANT DROPS THE ALLEGED BOMBSHELL

According to newly unsealed filings, Montgomery-Wilson told a jailhouse informant that a bounty was placed on Mack’s head. And the informant claims Montgomery-Wilson flat out said the bounty came from “Individual A.”

In courtrooms and legal filings, “Individual A” is the government’s favorite way of referencing a person they fully intend to name later.

And prosecutors are hinting loudly that “Individual A” is widely believed to be Lil Durk.

PROSECUTORS WANT THIS EVIDENCE IN COURT

Powell is scheduled to be tried first, and federal prosecutors are fighting to admit Montgomery-Wilson’s jailhouse statements — even though they’re technically hearsay — because they believe the alleged bounty motive is critical to the case.

If the judge allows it, the narrative becomes clear:
Someone powerful, connected, and angry allegedly put money on Mack’s life. And the government is subtly pointing that finger right at Durk.

DURK’S TEAM DENIES EVERYTHING… BUT THE FEDS ARE STILL PRESSING

Lil Durk has not been charged in Mack’s killing, but the government is already painting him as a figure with motive, money, and reach.

Durk’s attorneys insist he had nothing to do with any of it. They also argue the government is relying on the word of a jailhouse snitch desperate for a deal.

But even with the denials, the optics are looking worse by the day.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Durk is already sitting behind bars awaiting trial in a separate federal murder-for-hire case. Now prosecutors are trying to link him — indirectly for now — to another deadly revenge plot, this one tied to the death of his own brother.

This is the kind of case that starts as a rumor, grows into a whisper, and turns into serious federal interest.

If the judge allows these statements in court, Durk’s entire defense strategy gets a lot harder.

Media Take Out will keep digging… because this one is only getting hotter.
