Police say they are wrapping up their investigation into the fatal shooting of rapper Tevin Hood, known as T-Hood, concluding that Ky Frost, the son of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” stars Kirk Frost and Rasheeda Frost, acted in self-defense.
The incident happened in August at a residence in Gwinnett County, Georgia, where T-Hood was shot and killed. Gwinnett County police have completed their probe and are preparing to turn over the case file to the district attorney’s office. Prosecutors will now decide whether to charge Ky, per TMZ.
Police say they believe charges are not warranted.
According to a police spokesperson, “Tevin was the primary aggressor that night,” starting a fight with Ky and pulling out a firearm. Ky allegedly drew his own weapon and fired first, fatally shooting Tevin.
Investigators also revealed that Tevin had been “the aggressor in a previous domestic violence incident” involving his girlfriend, who is Ky’s sister.
The district attorney’s decision is now the final step in the case.
