Kim Kardashian is reportedly stepping back from the California Bar exam following her unsuccessful attempt last year.

According to TMZ, the reality star and SKIMS founder skipped the February exam and does not plan to sit for the July test either. Sources told the outlet that Kardashian is now expected to wait until 2027 before trying again.

The 45-year-old has been open about the challenges tied to her legal studies over the years. Kardashian previously revealed in November that she did not pass the California Bar exam after taking it in July.

“Well… I’m not a lawyer yet,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.” She added, “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.”

Kardashian previously passed California’s “baby bar” exam in 2021 after four attempts. The test is required for entry into her legal apprenticeship program. In a December interview with Time, Kardashian admitted the failed bar exam affected her confidence.

“I took a minute to process that, and instantly, when I got my results, I didn’t feel good about it,” she said. “I was really uncomfortable and not confident for a while.”

The Kardashians star has also shared parts of her demanding study schedule on the family’s Hulu series, once tearfully admitting, “I’m absolutely gonna cry cause it’s f–king exhausting.”
