Kevin Hart’s 2017 sex tape scandal could resurface in court.
According to documents TMZ obtained, Hart’s former assistant, Miesha Shakes, wants Montia Sabbag, the woman at the center of the controversy, to testify in Hart’s ongoing lawsuit against her.
Shakes said she wants to question Sabbag about the incident and the investigation that followed.
Sabbag previously sued Hart for $60 million in 2019, alleging that she had been filmed having sex without her consent. Hart denied wrongdoing, and the case was later dismissed.
The current dispute centers on a non-disclosure agreement. Hart sued Shakes after she discussed his personal life in an interview with a blogger, claiming she violated the agreement and harmed his reputation.
Shakes has pushed back, arguing that Hart failed to meet certain obligations under the deal and that the agreement should therefore be considered void.
She is also using Hart’s past controversies in her defense, and according to the filing, Shakes argues that Hart damaged his own reputation over the years and cites the sex tape scandal as one example.
Shakes plans to testify herself and also wants Hart on the witness stand.
