Former second lady Karen Pence trended online on Thursday after video footage of her refusing to shake hands with President-elect Donald Trump circulated online.
Trump and his wife, Melania, arrived at the funeral of Jimmy Carter on Thursday, and while Trump’s former vice president stood to shake his hand, Karen remained seated and refused to shake his hand or his wife’s…pretending not to see them.

Trump and Pence fell out following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. At the time, Trump ordered Pence to have “the courage” to refuse to certify the electoral college votes, but Pence refused, choosing to honor the Constitution.
“I had no right to overturn the election,” Pence said at the time. “And his reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol that day, and I know history will hold Donald Trump accountable.”
Pence also ran against Trump in the recent elections but lost and tapped out early.
