Jonathan has been accused of abusing his ex-girlfriend, a British blonde woman, and was arrested as a result.
This week, Jonathan and his legal team pulled a very RISKY … but possibly effective legal strategy to get him off.
Here’s what we know. Media Take Out learned that Jonathan’s accuser lives in London, and left the United States shortly after filing charges against Jonathan.
Jonathan’s lawyer has been pressuring police to charge the alleged victim with assault – claiming that she assaulted Jonathan during the scuffle. And after some reluctance, police have agreed to give her a summons for misdemeanor assault.
But police haven’t been able to give the alleged victim the summons, because she’s in London.
Under New York law, the next time that the victim comes to New York City, she’ll be charged with the misdemeanor crime.
Needless to say, the alleged victim is in no rush to come back to a city, where she may be falsely accused of a crime.
And that’s EXACTLY what Jonathan’s legal team is hoping to take advantage of.
Media Take Out learned that Jonathan’s legal team is trying to FAST TRACK the trial, and have it start immediately. They’re banking on the fact that the alleged accuser won’t come to court, and the charges will have to be dropped against him.
