John Boyega is married and welcomed his first child with his wife.
The 34-year-old Star Wars actor shared the surprising news in an interview with The Guardian, confirming he secretly tied the knot nearly two years ago.
Just hours before his child was born, Boyega spoke to the outlet about the pregnancy.
“I’ve been married for coming up to two years now,” Boyega revealed. “My baby’s on the way. We got a baby cooking,” he shared, adding that he’s also a stepfather to a young boy.
“My life is completely, completely fulfilled in terms of family,” he said.
Although Boyega has kept his wife’s identity largely private, and even revealed that the wedding ring came from Walmart.
“It was a lovely trip to Walmart. Shout out, Walmart Canoga Park!” he joked.
While the couple initially exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony, Boyega hopes to throw a lavish Nigerian wedding celebration eventually.
“And by then, we’ll have to shut Nigeria down!” he said.
Boyega shared his marriage with fans, showing off his beautiful wife, and l a video of him holding his newborn.
“Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes. Also my sister is about to pop! Wish her well too!,” he captioned the post. “Back to feeding this big baby!”
