Jeff Lewis Says Dorit Kemsley Was Bravo’s “Most Difficult” Star Before Him

Jeff Lewis is owning his reputation as a tough negotiator as he prepares to return to Bravo with a new series.

During a recent episode of Jeff Lewis Live, the designer revealed that Alex Baskin’s production company, 32 Flavors, has labeled him the “most difficult talent” they currently work with. “They said that I am by far the most difficult talent that they’re working with,” Jeff shared. He added with a laugh, “And it used to be Dorit, by the way, allegedly. But they said I’m miles ahead of her.”

Guest Tamra Judge asked if the comment came directly from Baskin. “Alex and Jenn Levy,” Jeff replied, referring to the company’s president. Still, Jeff insists there is a reason behind the title. “Here’s the thing. It’s because I push back, I negotiate, I protect my people,” he explained.

Jeff’s original Bravo series Flipping Out was canceled in 2018, but the network announced last year that he will return in a new show focused on his life and business. The working title is Still Flipping Out.

Rather than seeing the label as an insult, Jeff suggested it reflects his commitment to standing up for himself and his team. For him, being “difficult” simply means refusing to settle for less than what he believes is fair.
