Jax Taylor Says His Exit From ‘The Valley’ Is Only Temporary

Lyndon Abioye |

Viewers of Bravo’s series The Valley are celebrating Jax Taylor’s recently announced exit from the show, but according to the reality star, his departure is not permanent.

“Myself, my team [and] the producers got together [and] we decided to take a break from season three. This is not goodbye. This is kind of just a pause on things,” he said on his In the Mind of Jax Taylor podcast.

“The more I talked about it with everybody, it just didn’t seem to make a lot of sense for me to walk right back into filming right away.”

Taylor says that after filing the second season, things were mostly settled, but they flared up again once the season aired, as injured parties formed to “relive” the trauma.

Viewers called for Taylor to be fired from the show after he was shown being repeatedly abusive towards his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, with whom he shares a three-year-old son.

“I think everybody’s OK with me stepping away at this time. I hope … they miss me a little bit or I can rekindle somebody’s relationships that I’ve screwed up. That’s kind of where I’m headed. I want to fix a lot,” he added.

Tune in to the three-part The Valley season 2 reunion starting July 29 at 8/7c on Bravo and stream the next day on Peacock.
