The Valley star Jax Taylor is opening up about his time in rehab, specifically, the times he rage-texted his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright.
In a candid moment on The Valley, the reality star admitted to crossing the line with a barrage of angry texts.
“I am addicted to my phone. I wanted to know what’s going on,” he said, on The Valley: After Show. “I have to have control. And I don’t know what that is. It’s a huge issue. Ego, control, narcissism, manipulation… It’s all the same thing.”
According to Jax, he was hoping his ex would send him a few words of encouragement.
“I just feel like words of affirmation go so far for me,” Jax added. “… I don’t need material things. A little note next to the coffee maker … is like a diamond ring for me.”
Brittany said the only reason she did not block Jax when he initially went to rehab was for their young son, Cruz.
“It was mainly because of Cruz that I didn’t block him in the beginning, because I thought, like, if I was still sending him pictures of Cruz every now and then and stuff, it would help him,” she shared. “One day he would be love-bombing me [and] the next day, telling me that I’m gonna look so terrible for going on a date while he’s in a facility. And I’m like, dude, I caught you naked in the bed the day you went to f–king rehab.”
The Valley airs Tuesdays on Bravo at 9/8c and streams the following day on Peacock.
