NBA star James Harden of the Houston Rockets is being sued over an alleged sexual assault that took place in his Houston mansion.
After visiting a gentleman’s club, they were all invited to the afterparty, which was allegedly at Harden’s home.
According to the suit, a group of women were reportedly searched by Harden’s security upon arrival and directed to a studio area where the NBA star and others were hanging out. Some women inside the home appeared to be passed out.
The lawsuit says Harden’s nephew, Justice Armani Blackburn, approached the women with a bottle of liquor and offered them drinks. One woman claims that shortly after taking a sip, her memory started fading, and she drifted in and out of consciousness.
She later recalled being sexually assaulted by Blackburn and said he asked if she was on birth control during the attack. Court filings state that Harden’s security then abruptly entered the room and told her to leave without assisting or checking her condition.
While she searched for her phone, security allegedly rushed her out. Her friends were also escorted out after being falsely told she was no longer in the mansion.
The lawsuit accuses Harden’s team of creating a dangerous environment, allowing the women to become vulnerable, and prioritizing secrecy over safety by removing them instead of calling for help.
As of now, no criminal charges have been filed. Harden has not made any public statements.
