Jake Paul told UFC heavyweight Josh Hokit he would “gladly embarrass” him after the former NFL player challenged Paul to settle their online argument in a boxing ring.
The exchange began after Paul claimed no NFL player could survive two rounds against him, while insisting he could catch a touchdown pass in a professional football game without additional training.
“Not a single NFL player could last 2 rounds in a professional boxing ring,” Paul wrote on X. He imagined Patrick Mahomes telling him to run a 10-yard route before delivering a perfect pass.
Hokit quickly volunteered to prove him wrong.
“With all due respect, @jakepaul,” the UFC prospect replied. “Not only could I beat you in a boxing match, I’d beat you in any sport under the sun.”
Paul quickly clapped back.
“I see your hustle. You do your best to sell,” he wrote. “If you want to fly down to Puerto Rico and box, anytime I will gladly embarrass you.”
Hokit previously spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals before pursuing mixed martial arts. He has remained undefeated since entering professional competition.
Paul is currently recovering from injuries suffered during his December bout against Anthony Joshua.
