Gizelle Bryant Weighs In On Monique Samuels’ Return To ‘RHOP’

Gizelle Bryant and Monique Samuels were not on good terms when the latter walked away from the Real Housewives in Potomac, but in 2020, the former First Lady says she’s looking forward to connecting with Monique.

“Ashley and her have been communicating throughout the years. Monique has been gone for five seasons, and she’s been through a lot. She’s been divorced now, and she has moved, and she doesn’t live in Potomac anymore. I don’t know how many homes she has now, but it’s not four,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

“I was actually happy to just connect with her and just see where her head is,” Gizelle added.

Monique exited after Season 5 following a brawl with castmate Candiace Dillard Bassett.

On an appearance on Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast, Monique revealed she was banned from speaking about the hair-pulling incident for a year. “I was not even getting press opportunities. They tried to ban me from doing press,” she said at the time. “It was just craziness. I was like, the disrespect! I just felt like they were treating me less than a human.”
