Funky Dineva Accuses Jay-Z of Betraying Black Shoppers With Target Partnership!

Funky Dineva is calling out Jay-Z over his new Target partnership, accusing the rapper and mogul of using a Black consumer boycott as a business opportunity.

The popular blogger reacted to news that Jay-Z is teaming up with Target for an exclusive vinyl release of Reasonable Doubt to mark its 30th anniversary, set to arrive June 26. The limited white 2LP edition includes exclusive cover art, special packaging, a collectible insert, and the album’s original track list.

In the clip below, Dineva argued that Jay-Z saw “the void” left by Black shoppers avoiding Target and profited from it.

“You leveraged the boycott and the struggle of our people who were attempting to put Target in their place,” he declared. “You leverage that for your own personal gain.”

According to the outspoken media personality, the deal felt especially painful because Jay-Z does not need the money. “It is not just business, Jay-Z,” he said.

He also dragged Beyoncé into his complaint, saying she benefits from the money that comes into their household while staying silent. “The call is coming from inside your house,” he said.

Dineva compared his reaction to feeling let down by other public figures, adding, “I feel betrayed.” On social media, others have expressed disdain about Jay’s latest partnership. Many Black consumers are boycotting the store following it’s decision to bow to Trump and abandon it’s DEI programs.
