Friends Rally Around Miss J Alexander With GoFundMe After Stroke

Fans have long known Miss J Alexander as the quick-witted runway coach who brought humor and heart to America’s Next Top Model, but a new Netflix documentary has revealed more about his medical crisis.

In the docuseries Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model, Alexander shared that he suffered a severe stroke in 2022 that left him with limited mobility and ongoing medical needs.

Now, friends of the television star have launched a GoFundMe to help cover the growing financial strain tied to his recovery.

“Miss J has been bravely fighting his way back and struggling to live independently,” the fundraiser states, noting that he currently requires full-time medical care, multiple therapies, and uses a wheelchair. “The financial burden of ongoing treatment and daily living support is beyond overwhelming.”

Alexander previously opened up about the moment his life changed. “I had a stroke,” he said in the series. “I woke up, I didn’t know where I was other than the hospital. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t talk.”

Despite the challenges, those close to him say his spirit remains intact. Donations, they add, will help fund rehabilitation, in-home care, and basic living expenses as he continues what they describe as a long road forward.

Miss J has revealed that Tyra Banks has still not visited him since his stroke.
