Teyana has acted in a few small roles, in independent movies. But her latest film is different.
Media Take Out was invited to an exclusive screening of Teyana’s new film, A Thousand and One. And we were shocked and deeply moved by Tee’s performance. It’s truly amazing.
The film is already getting universal acclaim. It won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival this year, which makes it a virtual guarantee for Oscar consideration, Media Take Out confirmed.
But it’s not just the film, it’s TEYANA. Her performance was truly magical.
A Thousand And One follows unapologetic and free-spirited Inez (Teyana Taylor), who kidnaps six-year-old Terry from the foster care system. Holding onto their secret and each other, mother and son set out to reclaim their sense of home, identity, and stability, in a rapidly changing New York City.
The film is set to be released next week in theaters around the country. Congrats on the homie Teyana for doing her thing.
