NFL star Tyreek Hill has been ordered to pay his estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro, $500,000 after a Florida jury found him liable for two counts of battery in a civil trial involving allegations of domestic abuse.
The jury reached its verdict on Tuesday after nearly four hours of deliberations, rejecting eight additional claims against the former Miami Dolphins receiver.
Vaccaro had sought $8 million in damages, but jurors declined to award punitive damages.
During the weeklong trial, Vaccaro described several alleged incidents of abuse, including a January 2024 argument over a postnuptial agreement. She also testified that Hill grabbed her necklace, placed his hands around her neck and twisted her breasts. Vaccaro said the encounter “terrified” her. Jurors ultimately found Hill liable for battery in that incident.

They also found him liable for an April 2025 altercation captured on a nanny camera, during which Vaccaro could be heard pleading for Hill to “stop.”
Hill repeatedly denied physically abusing his wife, although he acknowledged making a threatening statement during one alleged incident, describing himself as “deeply ashamed.”
Following the verdict, Hill embraced attorney Christi Bright before leaving the courtroom smiling.
“He’s very grateful,” Bright told reporters.
Hill, currently a free agent, continues to recover from a serious knee injury while exploring opportunities with NFL teams.
The league has said Vaccaro’s allegations remain under review under its personal conduct policy.
