Erika Jayne is standing firm on her belief that Kyle Richards should step back from the tension between Dorit Kemsley and her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley.
On a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Erika Jayne said there is little upside to getting involved. “I still feel that way, because nothing you can say is gonna work,” Erika said, reacting to Kyle’s attempts to offer perspective amid Dorit’s separation.
Kyle, 57, acknowledged that Dorit, 49, had made it clear she no longer wanted her advice, especially given Kyle’s continued ties to PK through Mauricio Umansky.
Fashion stylist Rachel Zoe agreed that Kyle’s position was complicated and suggested it could be emotionally triggering for Dorit. “PK’s still in her orbit,” Rachel said, noting that Dorit may see Kyle’s closeness to PK as a lack of loyalty.
“There’s no winning,” Erika reiterated, backing Rachel’s point.
Kyle later admitted she has learned to tread carefully. “If Dorit has an idea in her head, she’s on that train,” she said. “It’s not stopping.”
Dorit, for her part, said she felt hurt because she once defended Kyle during her early split from Mauricio. “I was firmly in her court,” she said, adding that she never asked Kyle to attack PK. “Just don’t confuse the two.”
