Eddie Griffin Rips Drake Over Alleged LeBron James Diss!

Comedian Eddie Griffin has no plans to add Drake’s ICEMAN to his rotation.

On a recent episode of NNN, the comedian reacted to the Toronto rapper’s latest release and the conversation around “Make Them Remember,” a track featuring a rumored LeBron James diss.

Drake released ICEMAN and two additional albums, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR, on May 15.

“I haven’t heard the album because I refuse to buy garbage,” Griffin said.

His issue seemed to be that Drake was calling out James after the NBA star publicly supported West Coast rapper Kendrick Lamar. James attended Lamar’s 2024 Pop Out concert in Los Angeles, where he was seen enjoying “Not Like Us.”

“He took a picture with your enemy? I didn’t know y’all were dating,” Griffin joked, before adding that Drake “sounds like a b—h to me.”

Griffin didn’t stop there, adding, “It’s over. Just take your owl ass and travel in the dark quietly because owls, they move quietly,” he said.

Drake does not mention James by name on “Make Them Remember,” but the lyrics appeared to reference the Lakers star’s jersey number and career moves.

Drake’s ICEMAN was a major commercial success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 463,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week. The album delivered the second-biggest week of 2026 for any release and the biggest week of the year for an R&B or hip-hop album. ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR debuted at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 on the Billboard 200 at the same time. ICEMAN also gave Drake his 15th No. 1 album, moving him ahead of Jay-Z among solo male and R&B/hip-hop artists and tying him with Taylor Swift for the most No. 1 solo albums.
