Sean “Diddy” Combs’ request for bail was denied by a judge after he pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking in a Manhattan, New York, courtroom.
The rapper’s legal team put together a $50 million bond as part of a proposed bail package which not only includes the surrender of his passport but also his mother, Janice, and children Chance, Jessie, D’Lila and Love Combs would also surrender their passports.
The disgraced mogul also offered up his $48 million Star Island mansion and his mother’s two million home in Miami as collateral.
His attorney told the judge that Diddy also tried to sell his private plane, although it remains unsold.
The judge believes that Diddy is a flight risk, even without his passport and that he may attempt to intimidate witnesses if he is freed
Diddy has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
He faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars or a maximum sentence of life in prison if he is convicted.
