After a week of speculation, Mia Thornton reportedly posted a statement to her Instagram account, announcing her exit from The Real Housewives of Potomac.
“After much reflection, I have made the difficult decision to step away from The Real Housewives of Potomac. This journey has been filled with incredible experiences, personal growth, and, of course, its fair share of challenges. However, at this time, my focus needs to be on my family and my mental well-being,” her statement reads.
Mia was caught out for her lies during the season 9 reunion show. Mia has claimed that Inc could have been the biological father of her son, despite her and her estranged husband, Gordon Thornton, undergoing IVF to conceive.
Mia has been called out for a string of lies during her time on the show, and her antics last season led to Gizelle Bryant blasting her for being a “terrible mother.”
“No woman, no mother would put their child on a platform to discuss his paternity. No mother would do that,” Gizelle said, which led to Mia walking off the stage in tears.
However, the statement circulating online may not be real, and despite fans rejoicing, she may very well be returning for the show’s next season. The statement was not shared to any of Mia’s official social media accounts.
Fans of the show are watching Mia’s official social media page to see if she addresses the viral statement.
