Daphne Joy won’t let Brittany Renner have the last word.
After Renner mocked Joy while discussing women who enjoy being taken care of by men, Joy answered with a slick video of her own and made it clear she is perfectly comfortable with her relationship preferences.
“That could never be you, and I love that for you,” Joy told Renner.
Joy said she has never hidden the fact that she appreciates a partner who provides for her, but insisted the arrangement goes both ways.
“I absolutely love, love when my man takes care of me,” Joy says in the clip. “And frankly, I love taking care of my man. We’re both different, and that’s okay.”
Joy is widely known for her past relationship with 50 Cent, with whom she shares son Sire. She later dated Jason Derulo, who publicly discussed their romance before the couple split in 2016.
Renner, meanwhile, previously dated NBA player P.J. Washington, the father of her son, and later married Kevin Gates. Renner revealed in June 2025 that she and the rapper had divorced after 52 days of marriage.
“Brittany, if you find yourself mentioning me again, please don’t look like you’ve been fighting dogs all night,” Joy concluded. “Okay, beautiful?”
