Dakota Mortensen Breaks Silence After Taylor Frankie Paul Avoids Charges!

Dakota Mortensen has broken his silence after prosecutors declined to pursue charges against his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Frankie Paul, following multiple domestic violence allegations.

Yesterday, Mortensen shared an Instagram statement saying he is now focused on their 2-year-old son, Ever.

“Over the past several weeks, I’ve taken a step back and had time away from the chaos,” Mortensen wrote. “That space has been a breath of fresh air and has given me clarity.”

“My focus now is where it should have been all along on my son and creating a stable, healthy environment for him moving forward,” he continued.

Mortensen also reflected on his own role in the relationship.

“I regret not stepping away from a difficult cycle sooner. I’m not perfect, and I take accountability for my part,” he wrote. “I’m sincerely sorry to those I’ve hurt.”

At the same time, Mortensen said he disagreed with how the situation has been presented publicly.

“It does not reflect the full context of what occurred or the impact it has had on me and my son,” he wrote.

The statement came days after the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office announced it would not file charges against Paul.

Prosecutors said some allegations fell outside the statute of limitations, while others lacked sufficient evidence. Mortensen concluded, “For now, my priority is on showing up as the best father I can be for Ever.”
