Funkmaster Flex Gets Physical with Man at Knicks Game… Denies He Was Punched in Face!

Lyndon Abioye |

Funkmaster Flex is making headlines this morning after a clip showing a heated confrontation at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night was leaked online.

The veteran New York DJ was involved in a physical altercation with another man during the Knicks’ matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, prompting security and an NYPD officer to intervene.

Flex shared footage of the chaotic encounter on Instagram early this morning and offered his account of the incident.

In the video, the veteran hip-hop radio personality, dressed entirely in black, rushes across a crowded area of the arena toward another man before the situation turns physical. Bystanders quickly move away as the confrontation unfolds and security personnel and a cop are seen eventually escort Flex into a hallway, where they attempt to calm him down.

Flex also addressed speculation that he had been punched during the incident.

In his Instagram caption, he wrote in capital letters that the footage missed the part where he allegedly took a punch to the face… a claim he denies.

The DJ accused the other man, whom he claimed works for a record company, of deliberately provoking him to file a lawsuit.

According to Flex, the man called him “a broke n—a” and threw a drink on him before the confrontation escalated.

The identity of the other individual has not been confirmed, and his account of the incident remains unknown.

It is unclear whether authorities are investigating the altercation or whether they will file any charges.
