Daejon Love was allegedly so difficult to track down that one woman says she created a Facebook group of his other alleged victims just to figure out where he was hiding.
Gwendolynn Rose Herndon sued Love in Oregon in March 2025, claiming she lost $10,000 after trusting him with money for what she believed was an investment, according to court records TMZ obtained.
Herndon alleged she first sent Love $7,000 through Apple Pay and that he then personally took her to a bank, where she withdrew another $3,000 in cash.
She says things went left when she tried to get her coins back.
Herndon told the court Love had no fixed address and “purposefully stays in hotels & Airbnbs to evade justice.” She alleged he blocked her on the phone and social media, forcing her to contact one of his former girlfriends while trying to locate him.
She eventually started a Facebook group with other alleged victims and asked the court to let her serve Love electronically through Instagram and text.
Herndon ultimately won an award of just over $10,000.
Love has since landed at the center of a much larger federal case. Investigators accuse him of pretending to be a San Francisco 49ers player and wealthy investor while allegedly conning 26 women in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California out of about $1.3 million.
He has not been convicted of those federal allegations.
