Epic Games is offering refunds to Fortnite players who purchased cosmetic items connected to D4vd following criminal charges against the artist.
The Epic Games developer shared the update on X, saying it had heard player concerns and would begin making changes immediately.
“We hear the concerns,” the company said.
According to Epic, anyone who purchased D4vd collaboration items in Fortnite will be able to access a self-service refund starting April 28.
“The first one will be available on Tuesday April 28th, when anyone who purchased one of these items will be able to get an immediate self-service refund,” the company wrote.
Epic also said players who contact customer support can already receive refunds.
The announcement came after D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, was charged this week in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. He also faces allegations involving possession of child sexual abuse material, according to published reports.
The singer has pleaded not guilty.
D4vd first built momentum online by uploading music alongside Fortnite gameplay montages. His later collaboration with the game included cosmetics, emotes, jam packs and an official anthem.
Epic has not said whether the items will remain available in the future.
