Chucky’s Creator Claps Back at Nicki Minaj: ‘Chucky Has a Trans Kid’

Chucky’s creator wants Nicki Minaj to know that his famous killer doll isn’t joining her political team.

Don Mancini responded to the “Super Bass” rapper after she posted an artificial intelligence-generated image of Chucky encouraging fans to vote Republican in the Nov. 3 midterm elections.

The image showed the red-haired horror character in pink, wearing a “Vote Red” badge.

“HAPPY ELECTION DAY!!!” Minaj captioned the post.

But Mancini, who created Chucky for the 1988 film Child’s Play, interpreted the doll’s political preferences differently.

“IMPOSTER,” he wrote Wednesday, before declaring that Chucky was “PART OF THE BLUE WAVE.”

“Chucky has a trans kid. Chucky protects the dolls. Chucky is anti-ICE,” he posted.

He also shared a picture of a Chucky doll sporting blue hair, writing, “Too bad, Nicki! No AI, by the way!”

In January, Minaj posted images of the doll while criticizing journalist Don Lemon over his reporting on an anti-ICE protest. The character has a genderfluid child, Glen/Glenda, introduced in Seed of Chucky. In the Chucky television series, the doll famously declares, “I’m not a monster, Jake,” when questioned about accepting his child.

Despite the GOP’s major losses on Tuesday night, Minaj continues publicly supporting President Donald Trump and Republican candidates.
