Charles Oakley has walked back on his claims in a recent viral interview that he questioned whether or not he had been drugged ahead of his marriage to Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Angela Oakley.
After the clip went viral, Angela was seemingly unimpressed with Charles’ story of their nuptials and pulled him back in front of the camera to admit that it was all just a joke.
Charles promised his wife that he would not joke that way about their marriage again.
“It wasn’t even planned. We were in Vegas. We just did it,” he told the podcast host, before going on to say that he told somebody that he thinks that someone “put something in his drink,” that night.

In the comments section, many viewers appeared to support Charles.
“Yall don’t know a n—a like Charles?? I thought all black families have an uncle, daddy or grandpa like this. He doesn’t know how to show love. If he didn’t want her, he wouldn’t be with her. PERIOD!!” one viewer wrote.
Another wrote, “Charles is hilarious. I hate when reality viewers can’t take a joke or just laugh at dark humor.
