Charlamagne Tha God Sounds Off After Pooh Shiesty’s Arrest!

Charlamagne Tha God is giving his two cents after Pooh Shiesty was charged in connection with the alleged kidnapping and robbery of Gucci Mane.

During a recent episode of the Brilliant Idiots podcast, Charlamagne discussed the allegations and questioned whether the situation would have happened if the music executive involved had not been Black.

“I think, at some point, f–k the street code,” Charlamagne said. “These guys are businessmen, man.” He continued, “I know that Pooh Shiesty wouldn’t do that to a white man,” adding that he believes Black music executives often end up in situations that would not happen with executives from other backgrounds.

“Whenever you hear these stories, it’s literally always the Black executives getting put in this position by Black artists,” he said.

The comments come after authorities accused Pooh Shiesty of organizing a “coordinated takeover” of a Dallas recording studio on January 10.

Police allege the rapper and several others confronted Gucci Mane in an effort to pressure him into ending Shiesty’s deal with 1017 Records. Authorities say seven other people, including Big30, also face charges in the case.

Pooh Shiesty has denied wrongdoing.

Following a recent hearing, his attorney, Bradford Cohen, argued that prosecutors lack key evidence.

“What we didn’t hear today was there is no contract,” Cohen said. “They have no guns, no jewelry. They have none of that physical evidence.”

A judge denied bond, and Pooh Shiesty remains in custody while awaiting trial.
