Charlamagne Tha God says his beef with Birdman is over…years over the Cash Money boss walked out of a Breakfast Club interview just minutes in.
“He’s an OG that I look up to as far as what he’s built, as far as being a mogul,” Charlamagne told HHDX. “You can’t deny him.”
Charlamagne said a mutual friend put them on a phone call together so they could squash the long-running beef.
“[Big Bank] put us on the phone one time and I was able to tell him that [I look up to what he’s done]. It was just mutual respect. That was a fulfilling conversation for me,” he added.
Birdman famously told The Breakfast Club host to “Put some respek on my name” before walking off before the three minute-mark of the interview. Birdman even dissed Charlamagne on a track and has not returned to the show since.
