Cassie Ventura wants a judge to shut down a multimillion-dollar sexual assault lawsuit against her for good, claiming her accuser has repeatedly changed his story about what happened between them.
The singer’s legal team is challenging allegations brought by Clayton Howard, who claims he experienced years of sexual exploitation involving Ventura and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In an Oct. 7 filing, Cassie’s attorneys disputed Howard’s latest account of an October 2014 sexual encounter in Beverly Hills.
Howard previously claimed he became upset after discovering Cassie was menstruating. His revised allegations now include claims that he asked her to stop during intercourse.
“Plaintiff has described that encounter in two prior pleadings without any refusal,” Cassie’s legal team wrote in response.
The dispute is part of Howard’s larger lawsuit, originally filed in June 2025, accusing the former couple of sexual misconduct and trafficking-related abuse. Ventura’s defense maintains that Howard voluntarily participated in paid encounters and returned multiple times over several years.
Her attorneys also argue that Howard’s allegations accuse Diddy of exercising control over the encounters, not Cassie.
Howard initially demanded $20 million, though his latest reported demand has increased to $35 million, plus additional costs. Judge Anne Hwang dismissed claims against Cassie in July but gave Howard another chance to amend his complaint. The singer is now seeking dismissal without another chance to refile those claims.
The matter is scheduled for an Oct. 21 hearing.
