Cardi B Scores $60K Win After Tasha K Breaks Settlement Deal!

Cardi B is set to receive $60,000 from Tasha K after the gossip blogger violated a prior agreement by commenting online about the rapper’s personal life.

The agreement, filed Tuesday, June 30, resolves a contempt dispute connected to Cardi’s 2022 defamation win against Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe. Cardi, born Belcalis Almánzar, previously won a roughly $4 million judgment after a jury found Kebe liable for spreading false claims about her.

Last year, Tasha K entered a bankruptcy agreement that delayed payment of the larger judgment as long as she avoided making disparaging public statements about Cardi B and her family.

Cardi’s attorneys later argued that Kebe broke that deal through social media posts and videos involving Offset, Cardi’s estranged husband, and NFL player Stefon Diggs.

Cardi’s team said enforcing the agreement cost more than $110,000 in legal fees. Under the new deal, Cardi agreed to accept $60,000 if Kebe pays on time, but Tasha K must pay $30,000 within a month and the remaining $30,000 by the end of the year.

The filing says both sides reached the agreement “to avoid the expense, delay and uncertainty of further litigation.”
