Cam’ron says Dame Dash’s new Jay-Z diss track left him with “second-hand embarrassment.”
The Harlem rapper reacted after Dash posted a preview of “Cheap Teeth” on Instagram last week, a song that features Nicky Licky and aims at Jay-Z, Dash’s former Roc-A-Fella partner.
“All jokes aside, I really have second hand embarrassment,” Cam wrote in Dame’s comment section. “This is sad. I’m sorry everyone that he turned out like this. We’re gonna do a case study to see what happened to him.”
The timing of “Cheap Teeth” also comes after Jay-Z appeared to reference Dash during a recent Roots Picnic performance.
“I would prefer the version of Jay that would have said something more clever, and that’s not the version ofJay that I would have ever signed,” Dash said of Jay’s performance at the time.
“And I felt bad because it must be embarrassing for him to now have to be on that stage not the same version of himself and still have to work at that age. So that was the brother in me, like, damn. He was was retiring since Reasonable Doubt, and for him to have to come outside 20 years later, I just felt kind of embarrassed.”
