Cam Newton Sparks Backlash After Saying More Kids Mean Less Value

Cam Newton is sharing his thoughts about relationships, and his latest opinions have gone viral… and not for the right reasons.

During a recent It’s Giving podcast appearance, the former NFL quarterback discussed whether having children with multiple partners changes how women are perceived in the dating world.

“I just think that the reality is, the more kids you have, it does change how people look at you,” Newton said, adding that honesty about family dynamics matters when starting something new.

He explained that acceptance should be nonnegotiable for anyone entering a relationship with a parent.

“If a man isn’t willing to love on all your kids, then he’s not the guy for you,” Newton said, noting that he has applied that same standard in his own life. “When I came into your life, I accepted everything that came with you.”

Newton also reflected on the bonds he shares with the mothers of his children, calling them lifelong connections.

“That’s still the mother of my children,” he said. “We might have our issues, but there’s a loyalty there. I owe a service to them.”

As he’s gotten older, Newton said he’s learned to check himself and move with more intention. “I’ve had to control my thinking and my negativity,” he shared. “Growth is real if you let it be.”
