With The Real Housewives of New Jersey still on pause, insiders say producers may be looking to a familiar face to help bring the show back to life.
The Bravo series has not aired since August 2024, and sources claim efforts to reboot the cast have stalled.
“The cast right now is still really good,” one insider told RadarOnline.com. “It’s just a matter of trying to figure out how to make it work with them, because last season was more or less impossible.”
While Jennifer Aydin has confirmed she will not return and Rachel Fuda is not expected back, the source says there is still a core group in place with Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania and Margaret Josephs. Danielle Cabral could also remain part of the mix.
“But all of these women have had major issues with one another in the past,” the insider adds. “Even though Melissa and Teresa made up, there’s obviously still potential for drama. Margaret and Teresa don’t have a relationship, and Danielle also had issues with Teresa.”
That is where Kim DePaola comes in. According to the source, she has already expressed interest in returning. “She’s told Andy Cohen she’s willing and able,” the insider says. “She’s friends with Melissa now, friends with Margaret, and she’s always managed to navigate drama with Teresa and still come out alive.”
They add, “She knows all of these women well and how to work a room with them. Bringing her back could finally move the story forward.”
