Brad Pitt’s Daughter Vivienne Officially Removes ‘Pitt’ From Her Name After Turning 18

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt is officially Vivienne Jolie.

The 18-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has legally removed her father’s surname, with a California judge approving the change during a hearing on Monday, Nov. 2.

According to documents PEOPLE obtained, her full legal name is now Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.

The teenager requested the change in July, just weeks after turning 18.

It’s not the first time Vivienne has publicly used a name without Pitt.

In May 2024, she appeared in the Playbill for the Broadway musical The Outsiders as “Vivienne Jolie.” She worked alongside her mother on the Tony-winning production.

Her legal decision follows similar moves by siblings Shiloh, Maddox and Zahara, who have also formally dropped their father’s surname.

The changes come amid a years-long family estrangement following Pitt and Jolie’s highly publicized separation.

The actors, who married in 2014 after more than a decade together, split in September 2016. Their divorce was finalized in December 2024.

Pitt and Jolie are also parents to Pax and Vivienne’s twin brother, Knox.
