Blueface is still waiting for his boxing check.
The rapper opened up on No Jumper about his March fight against streamer Chibu at Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 13 event, saying the match may be over, but he is yet to receive compensation.
“Nope. Still hasn’t came to me,” he said. “They’re doing the negotiating and what not.”
Blueface lost to Chibu by decision after six rounds, but the outcome did not stop people from giving him credit for his return to the ring. Host Adam22 told him, “Despite the fact that you got a loss on that fight, you looked really good out there.”
The rapper also said his performance may have cooled plans for a previously discussed bout with Nick “Swaggy P” Young.
After the match, Blueface accused Ross of fixing the match.
“You know damn well you are not going to lose your own money on your own fight card,” Blueface said at the time. Ross fired back, threatened legal action, and demanded that Blueface walk back the claim within 72 hours, which the rapper refused to do.
Ross later said he was fining Blueface $100,000 for alleged contract violations, including failing to wear a Rainbet sponsor patch and revealing his pay. Blueface denied the allegations and said the fine would not cover what he claims he is still owed.
“Never said how much I was paid, the excuses are becoming evident,” Blueface wrote. “[I] was never contracted to wear a patch [and] even if I was fined 100k that’s not even half of what’s owed,” later adding, “Looking for a way not to pay is not a good look. Ima get mines regardless.”
