Big30 Freed Before Trial After Judge Rejects Flight Risk Claim!

Big30 is no longer set to remain behind bars while waiting for trial in the federal robbery and kidnapping case involving Gucci Mane.

On Thursday, a judge granted the rapper pretrial release, reversing an earlier order that had kept him in custody without bond. The new ruling rejected federal prosecutors’ argument that Big30 should be held until trial because he posed a flight risk.

“The Court finds that the Government has failed to establish that Wright is a flight risk or that the conditions of release imposed by Judge Christoff will not reasonably assure the safety of any person in the community,” the ruling reads. “Accordingly, the Court denies the government’s motion. The Court vacates any stay of the release order.”

Big30 had initially been released on a $100,000 bond, but prosecutors successfully pushed to keep him detained after claiming he had the means to leave. Their argument centered on a pending record label deal that they said could provide the rapper with substantial money.

The case stems from an alleged January incident at a Dallas recording studio involving Gucci Mane and others. Investigators say nine men kidnapped and robbed the group and allege that Gucci Mane was forced at gunpoint to sign a contract release form.

The charges carry severe possible consequences. If convicted, the defendants could face life in prison. Trial is currently scheduled for July 6.

Big30 is not the only name connected to the case. Pooh Shiesty and Pooh Shiesty’s father are also among the men charged, and all three have pleaded not guilty. Pooh Shiesty’s father was released on bond last week, while Pooh Shiesty remains in federal custody.
