‘Bachelorette’ Premiere Axed Following Video & Domestic Violence Investigation!

The Bachelorette will no longer move forward with its planned season featuring Taylor Frankie Paul after ABC pulled the premiere days before it was set to air.

The two-hour debut, originally scheduled for March 22, has instead been replaced with a rerun of American Idol.

In a statement, a network spokesperson said, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”

The decision follows the release of footage from a 2023 incident involving Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen. The video appears to show a heated argument during which objects, including chairs, were thrown while a child was nearby.

The reality star was arrested in 2023 after the incident and later faced misdemeanor charges, including assault, criminal mischief, and domestic violence in the presence of a child. Reports at the time also indicated that a chair allegedly struck her daughter during the altercation.

Authorities recently confirmed there is an ongoing investigation involving both Paul and Mortensen. A police spokesperson said, “Allegations have been made in both directions.”

Paul’s representative responded, calling the video “an attempt to harm Taylor,” while the network has not announced if or when the series will return.
