Ayesha Howard is accusing Anthony Edwards of hiding assets in California in an effort to avoid paying child support.
In a new affidavit filed April 7 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Howard claims the Minnesota Timberwolves star “intentionally concealed” financial ties to California when she first sought child support in 2024.
Howard, who shares a 5-month-old daughter, Aubri Summers, with Edwards, says the NBA player previously testified that he had no meaningful business or personal connections to the state.
According to the filing, Edwards argued at the time that California courts lacked jurisdiction over him because he lacked ties there.
Howard now says that was not true.
She alleges she uncovered evidence in August 2025 showing Edwards had maintained California-based financial activity for years, including a Beverly Hills bank account, an LLC and trademarks tied to a business in the state.
“[He] intentionally omitted and concealed long-standing California-based financial assets and financial activities,” Howard states in the filing.
Howard further alleges Edwards hid those connections “in an effort to evade personal jurisdiction and child support obligations.”
The filing claims Edwards had a “business, financial, contractual and economic presence” in California for nearly six years.
Howard is asking the court to revisit its earlier child support decision based on what she says is newly discovered evidence.
The latest filing comes just days after Howard denied rumors that Edwards had already paid child support in full.
