Bravo executive Andy Cohen has been looking very trim lately, but the talk show host recently revealed the surprising reason he decided to hop on the GLP-1 weight loss train.
“It was so bad,” he said on Today with Jenna & Friends, referring to The Valley Season 2 reunion, which was taped in May. Since then, he’s lost “a good chunk of weight.”
The reunion aired in June.
“We all notice ourselves, and especially when we’re on TV and we’re looking at a freaking monitor of ourselves every day, it’s terrible. If you watch The Valley reunion from last season, which I know you will, I do not look my best, let me say that. And it was after that that I was like, ‘I gotta get this together,'” he continued.
Cohen revealed that prior to taking the weight loss injection, which he says “kickstarted his journey,” he was very unhappy with his size.
“My doctor and I talked about this last year, had recommended a GLP-1 a few times, to not only address what I was feeling about my weight, but treat plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure. This is a medication that is actually beneficial to a lot of elements of health. And I finally said ‘yes.’”
Several celebrities have admitted to using GLP-1 meds in the past, including Melyssa Ford, Amy Schumer, Chelsea Handler, Serena Williams and Sharon Osbourne.
