Andy Cohen weighed in on the news that Kim Zolciak-Biermann had filed for divorce from her husband, former NFL star Kroy Biermann.
Cohen says he was not expecting it. The couple share four children.
“[I] sent my condolences, because it’s a sad thing,” he said on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. “They have kids, and that was just a couple that seemed very much in love.”
He continued, “I did not see it coming. I was very surprised. That was not the news I ever expected to get.”
Kroy filed his divorce papers on the same day Kim did. In his petition, he claims “the parties have accumulated certain debts and obligations, during the course of this marriage,” and he is seeking an “equitable division of same.”
“They were a couple that I thought they were in it for the long haul,” said Cohen. “Very surprised, sorry to hear that.”
The couple owes the IRS more than $1 million.
