Yung Joc addressed Lil Nas X and the “J CHRIST” controversy.
Joc thinks the rapper went too extreme and took things way too far.
“He went from zero to a hundred instantly. And it gave people hope like, ‘Wow, you might be on to something so dope that other little Black boys can follow right behind you in this way and it’s showing that they don’t have to just rap or do R&B. Like, you’re singing country music,” he said.
“He keeps hitting us with these extremes,” he added, “It was just so extreme that I feel like he blew his load.”
“J CHRIST” only managed to reach No. 69 on Billboard. Several rappers spoke out about the video, where Lil Nas X dressed up as Jesus Christ, accusing him of mocking Christianity. The rapper eventually apologized and admitted to taking things too far.
Has Lil Nas X fallen off or can he turn things around?
