Several YSL members have taken plea deals ahead of the upcoming trial…but Young Thug’s father says she son should reject a plea deal if he’s offered one.
“I can’t answer that because I’m not him,” Jeffrey Williams, Sr. responded when asked whether his son should accept a plea. “I’m his father. My son is not guilty of a lot of things that these people [prosecutors] probably sayin’ about him. As a father, if they came to him with a plea deal and he left it up to me to give him the advice. I would tell him, ‘No.'”
Prosecutors allege YSL is a gang but Thugger says it’s just a record label. Last week, YSL member Antonio Sledge claimed YSL members killed Donovan Thomas Jr. in 2015 and that Thugger paid them to lay low after the killing.
Jury selection will begin on January 4 and the trial is set to begin on January 9.
