Young Thug’s attorney Brian Steel has filed a second motion calling for the recusal of Chief Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville who is currently overseeing the YSL trial.

Last month, Steel filed the motion over an alleged meeting, which he says took place between Judge Glanville, prosecutors from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, and witness Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland.
The judge held him in contempt after he refused to reveal his source, who informed him about the meeting.

Just last week, the RICO trial against Young Thug was paused indefinitely due to the allegations of misconduct against Judge Glanville until another judge decides whether he should continue with the case or recuse himself.

Steel wants the judge gone.

“This motion also timely moves to recuse the Honorable Judge Krause based upon the fact that she sits on the Fulton County Superior Court Bench with Judge Glanville and that in April 2024, Judge Glanville contributed $2,000 to the Honorable Judge Krause’s re-election campaign,” the motion states.

Steel is also calling for Thugger to be released from jail and “cleared of all charges based upon prosecutorial and judicial misconduct.”

Young Thug, real name Jeffrey Williams, is facing eight criminal counts under a federal law that was originally enacted to fight organized crime.
