Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, has filed a motion on behalf of his client to have Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville removed from the case. “disqualify/recuse.”
Steel filed the motion over an alleged meeting, which he says took place between Judge Glanville, prosecutors from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, and witness Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland.
The judge held him in contempt after he refused to give his source away who informed him about the meeting.

Lil Woody has refused to testify and was also held in contempt. When he returned to the court, he claimed he lied to police in his police interview and says he made everything he told them up. The meeting was reportedly to pressure him to testify. Lil Woddy was given immunity if he does testify against Young Thug and YSL.
“The judge was having ex parte communications with the district attorney and a witness,” trial attorney Tom Church said in support for Steel per Atlanta News First. “That means he was talking to the attorney and the witness without anyone from the defense being present. And that is generally considered improper.”
